The Director of NABU fired his first deputy Gizo Uglava.
The reason for the dismissal was his commission of a disciplinary offense. Disciplinary action was taken against Uglava in the form of dismissal due to violation of the oath of a civil servant, violation of the rules of moral conduct of civil servants, violation of the Law “On Civil Service” and the Code of Ethics of the NABU employee. The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.
It is noted that the internal investigation and the disciplinary commission of the Bureau established that Uglava spoke negatively towards the NABU employee who filed a memo about possible facts of information leakage.
In addition, these actions have formed an understanding among NABU employees of the possibility of negative consequences for whistleblowing activities, which is an unacceptable violation of the high standards of ethics and virtue that NABU employees and senior management should be guided by in their work, the department emphasized.
Recall that on August 30, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed Mykola Oleshchuk from the post of Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Lieutenant General Anatoly Krivonozhko will temporarily perform these duties.
