Ukrainian forces have recently regained lost ground in the southeast, Western analysts say.
Ukrainian defenders have a victory near the city of Pokrovsk, Donetsk region. This is stated in a report by the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
Geolocation footage published on Monday, September 2, indicates that Ukrainian soldiers “returned their positions to the southwest of Novogrodovka (southeast of Pokrovsk),” analysts said.
“Ukrainian forces recently regained lost ground southeast of Pokrovsk amid ongoing Russian tactical gains in the area,” the Institute said in a statement.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, under the direction of Pokrovsky, the Russian invaders concentrated their attacks near Novogrodovka.
Let’s remember that earlier the media predicted that the Russian occupation forces would reach Pokrovsk in mid-September, but it was not to be.
