Deliveries could begin within days, one of the people told Bloomberg.
Iran will supply ballistic missiles to Russia. Bloomberg reported this on September 2, citing sources.
The agency’s interlocutors suggest that Iran has already provided hundreds of drones to Russia, but the potential transfer of these ballistic missiles would only mean an escalation of the conflict.
Bloomberg’s sources declined to discuss the type and quantity of the supplies and did not even name the timing. Only one of them mentioned that deliveries could start within the next few days.
The US and other NATO allies have repeatedly warned Iran against such a move and are making diplomatic efforts to prevent such a thing from happening.
On August 29, EU High Representative Josep Borrell said that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi assured that his country does not intend to transfer ballistic missiles to the aggressor country Russia.
Let’s recall that earlier the SBU expressed suspicion of complicity in the Russian aggression against Ukraine in an Iranian brigadier general.
On September 2, Russia attacked Ukraine with 58 air assets – 35 missiles of various types and 23 drones. The defense forces were able to shoot down nine ballistic missiles, 13 cruise missiles and 20 suicide bombers.
