The Security Service and the National Police neutralized a criminal group carrying out an “order” from the Russian Federation to commit arson in Ukraine. The SBU press service reported this on Monday, September 2.
As a result of a special operation in Kherson, Odessa and Nikolaev, the organizer and three members of a criminal group coordinated by the FSB were detained.
Russian henchmen set fire to Defense Forces official vehicles. The enemy’s priority targets are military pickup trucks involved in combat missions.
The coordinator of the group is a former prisoner from Kherson, who previously served a sentence for drug trafficking. He was also with his partner and two other criminals.
The attackers managed to set five Defense Force vehicles on fire.
During the searches, a Kalashnikov assault rifle, a pistol with ammunition, F-1 and RGD-5 grenades, flash drives, a video camera and mobile phones with evidence of crimes were seized.
The attackers are currently in custody. They face up to eight years in prison. The issue of further qualification of criminal actions of detainees is being resolved.
We remind you that in Nikolaev the police exposed three minor arsonists of a military vehicle recruited by the Russian special services.
Also in Kyiv, a man set fire to a military vehicle for the promise of $3,000. In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, two local residents were detained who, for money, committed a series of arson attacks on military vehicles.
