We are talking about an articulated tracked Swedish-British amphibious armored personnel carrier Bandvagn BvS 10 (Viking).
The Netherlands has decided to transfer 28 Bandvagn BvS 10 (Viking) two-link tracked all-terrain vehicles to Ukraine. This was announced by Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans on Saturday on the social network X.
Ukraine desperately needs our help in fighting the Russian aggressor. The Netherlands donated 28 Viking tracked vehicles. The Marine Corps trained Ukrainian soldiers to work with them. Our support for Ukraine continues to hinder Russia,” the minister wrote.
The BandvagnBvS10 (Viking) is a Swedish-British articulated tracked amphibious armored personnel carrier manufactured by BAESystemsHägglunds. It is in service with the Marine Corps of the Netherlands, Great Britain, Sweden, Austria and France. Previously, 36 Dutch BvS 10 and 20 British Vikings were transferred to Ukraine in 2023 as part of logistical assistance to repel Russian aggression.
We remind you that the Netherlands is buying dozens of mobile radars for Ukraine. They will move in at the end of this year.
It was also reported that the Netherlands is allocating 300 million euros for F-16 ammunition for Ukraine.
