Russian Mi-8 helicopter disappeared in Kamchatka.
The helicopter, belonging to the airline Vityaz-Aero, took off from a site near the Vachkazhets volcano on the morning of August 31 and disappeared from radar almost immediately. Contact with the crew was lost. This was reported by the Russian TASS.
It is preliminary known that there may be 22 people on board – three crew members and 19 passengers.
According to Russian propaganda, the crew did not report any problems before takeoff.
Another Mi-8 was sent to search for the missing helicopter. A ground rescue team is preparing to be sent to the area.
Let us recall that in June, a Russian Su-34 fighter-bomber crashed in the mountainous terrain of North Ossetia. The crew died. The preliminary cause of the air crash was a technical malfunction.
