Russian authorities are not stopping at destroying their own infrastructure, says Bild expert Julian Röpke.
Russian aircraft bombed a children’s ice arena built by a Russian company in the village of Zaoleshenka, Kursk region. Gazprom in 2020. This was said by Julian Repke, an expert in open data analysis of the German tabloid Bild.
The complex consists of a gym, a choreography class and an ice rink. Students from eight nearby schools studied there.
The expert recalled that in August 2024, the village of Zaoleshenka and the city of Sudzha were under the control of the Ukrainian military. During the battle, Russian aviation hit the ice arena with a controlled high-explosive bomb.
The shell hit the building directly, the sports center was completely destroyed.
“Russia does not stop destroying its own infrastructure occupied by Ukrainians, and uses the same weapons as in Ukraine to drive out Ukrainian soldiers. At the same time, everything there, any building, is destroyed. Russia does not make a difference between Ukrainian and Russian territory, if the enemy is there, it is not an exception, but the rule,” said Repke.
