A court in France has released Telegram founder Pavel Durov from custody on bail of 5 million euros.
Durov has been charged, placed under judicial supervision and banned from leaving France, AFP reports, citing the Paris prosecutor’s office.
The Telegram founder has been charged with all the charges he was initially arrested for, including refusing to cooperate with the investigation into crimes committed via Telegram, complicity in terrorism, distribution of child pornography, drug dealing, fraud, money laundering, and the like.
The investigation into Durov could continue for years before he is brought to trial or the charges against him are dropped, Reuters writes.
