The acting head of the Kursk region, Alexei Smirnov, said the Kursk nuclear power plant was supposedly “safe.”
The ruling regime of the Russian Federation has decided to restrict entry to the city of Kurchatov, where the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant is located. The acting head of the Kursk region, Alexey Smirnov, announced this on Telegram.
According to him, the decision to restrict entry to the city of Kurchatov was made due to the alleged “attempts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to penetrate the city” and to “ensure additional security measures.”
The Russian official also rushed to ensure that the safety of the Kursk power plant was “maximally ensured.”
Residents of Kurchatov with registration are free to enter the city, and those without registration, but working in the city, can get a pass from the administration of the city of Kurchatov and the Kurchatovsky district.
Employees of the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant and the construction of NPP-2 should contact the management of their company regarding the introduced access regime.
The authorities of the Kursk region advise vehicles engaged in transit transport and previously moving through the territory of Kurchatov to use alternative detour routes.
