The IDF is conducting an operation in the areas of Jenin and Tulkarmah to combat the Iranian terrorist infrastructure.
On August 28, the Israel Defense Forces launched a counter-terrorism operation in several northern parts of the West Bank. This was reported by The Jerusalem Post.
Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz said that the IDF is conducting an operation in the areas of Jenin and Tulkarmah to combat the Iranian terrorist infrastructure.
According to him, Iran is working to create a terrorist front by arming terrorists and smuggling advanced weapons to Jordan.
“We must deal with this threat in the same way we deal with the terrorist infrastructure in Gaza, including the temporary evacuation of civilians,” the minister said.
In the West Bank, seven people were killed in IDF operations, according to the Israeli Ministry of Health. Israeli media reported ten deaths.
As the publication wrote, citing army interlocutors, “this IDF counter-terrorism operation will last several days.”
It was previously reported that negotiations between Israel and Hamas on the end of the war in the Gaza Strip and the exchange of hostages ended without the parties reaching a final agreement.
We remind you that Israel has announced the killing of two high-ranking Hamas militants.
