Five more families were returned to Ukraine from the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region. This was announced by the head of Kherson OV Alexander Prokudin on Tuesday, August 27.
The charity organization Save Ukraine is involved in the return of families.
“Another five families were returned from the temporarily occupied Kherson region to the controlled territory of Ukraine. They are raising eight children, these are five boys and three girls, aged from 6 to 14 years,” said the leader of the OVA.
Prokudin noted that currently the children, along with their parents, are safe and recovering from the horrors of the Russian occupation.
Since the beginning of 2024 alone, 181 children from the Kherson region have been returned to Ukrainian-controlled territory.
We remind you that Ombudsman Dmitry Lubinets recently reported the return of six children from the occupied territories.
Previously, nine children from the temporarily occupied communities of the Kherson region were returned to the controlled territory of Ukraine.
