The exchange ensured that it restricted access only to certain Palestinian accounts involved in illegal activities.
The Binance cryptocurrency exchange, at the request of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), seized users’ funds from Palestine and refused to return the money, rejecting all appeals. This was said by the CEO of NoOnes P2P marketplace, Ray Youssef, Incrypted reports.
He also published a letter the exchange sent to its users who filed an appeal. It states that the defense minister can order the temporary seizure of property of a declared terrorist organization.
Ray Youssef indicated that this information was reported by several sources. The arrest affected all exchange clients from Palestine. The CEO of NoOnes added that everything is leading to the fact that the same requirement will be applied to the residents of Lebanon and Syria.
“Binance releases all data about any user from the Middle East and North Africa to the Israeli IDF without the necessary warrant or even suspicion,” the message said.
The exchange has limited access to only a few Palestinian accounts involved in illegal activities, Binance representatives said in a message to Cointelegraph.
“There are some misinterpretations about this. Only a small number of users whose transactions are illegal have had their accounts blocked,” Youssef added.
We remind you that the Bitcoin rate fluctuates around $61.01. The cryptocurrency moved to slight growth after a sharp decline.
