Ukrainian gas production platforms catch fire in the Black Sea.

    .

All of the “Boyko towers” located to the east of Zmeiny Island are burning. The middle platform is burning, and a column of smoke is coming from the third platform. OSINT analyst MT Anderson published the corresponding satellite images on the X social network on August 26.

As is known, the so-called Boyko towers were occupied by the Russians in 2014, and with the start of the full-scale invasion, they were used for military purposes as helicopter pads and for the deployment of radar systems.

At the end of August 2023, British intelligence reported that Ukraine and Russia were fighting for strategically important gas and oil platforms in the Black Sea between Crimea and Odessa.

Let us recall that on August 10 it became known that the Ukrainian Navy struck the gas rigs “Sivash” and “Petro Godovanets”, which are still controlled by the Russian Armed Forces in the Black Sea.
