A Russian drone flew 25 km into Poland today.
The drone’s movements were recorded by three radar stations. It subsequently disappeared from radar. Polish Army Operations Commander Maciej Kliszcz says the object is likely still in Poland, although he does not rule out that it may have left the country.
The drone is being searched for in the Polish city of Tyszowiec in the Lublin Voivodeship, near the border with Ukraine, RMF24 writes.
Kliszcz said that an “air object” had flown into Polish territory near the Ukrainian city of Chervonohrad and that it was not a missile. The announcement was made at about 13:00 Polish time.
Poland has stated that it did not shoot down an “air object” that flew in from Ukrainian territory during a massive missile attack due to atmospheric conditions.
The commander of the operational command of the Polish Armed Forces, Maciej Klisz, said that he was ready to give the order to destroy the facility and was in contact with the Minister of Defense, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamisz, as well as with the Chief of the General Staff, Wiesław Kukula.
