There is no significant damage to the Kyiv hydroelectric power station in Vyshgorod after the Russian attack.
The head of the Kyiv OVA, Ruslan Kravchenko, said this on August 26.
According to him, the dam was supposed to be open at about 4 p.m., if there were no additional air raids or attacks.
Earlier, the Center for Countering Disinformation explained that Russia does not have the means or capabilities to destroy the dams near Kyiv and Kanev, but is trying to intimidate Ukrainians with this: “it is impossible to destroy these objects with missile strikes, and the option of undermining them through sabotage is excluded.”
Missiles and drones during Russia’s massive attack on Ukraine on August 26 targeted the Kyiv hydroelectric power plant, a top manager of the state energy company familiar with the situation told Forbes Ukraine on condition of anonymity.
According to this information, on Monday morning the Russians tried to destroy the Kyiv hydroelectric power station with different types of missiles and drones, as a result of the shelling there was a hit and damage. There is no threat of a dam break or critical damage to the station.
