A people’s deputy of Ukraine was notified of suspicion on the facts of attacks by a group of persons on a law enforcement officer and a military man, an attempt to steal a firearm, causing moderate bodily harm to the victim, and hooliganism.
The press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office reported this today, August 25.
We are talking about the now non-factional Artem Dmitruk, who was expelled from the Servant of the People faction in November 2021.
According to the investigation, the suspect, while in Odessa, acting as a group of people, attacked a law enforcement officer in connection with the performance of his official duties, the prosecutor’s office notes. – At the same time, the people’s deputy intentionally caused bodily harm to the law enforcement officer and tried to steal the weapon that the latter had.
It is noted that the suspect’s actions are qualified under the following articles of the Criminal Code:
- Part 1 of Article 28, Part 2 of Article 345 – intentional infliction of minor bodily harm by a group of persons on a law enforcement officer in connection with the performance of that officer’s official duties;
- Part 2 of Article 15, Part 1 of Article 28, Part 1 of Article 262 – completed attempt to steal a firearm by a group of persons.
In addition, at another time, the suspect, while in Kyiv, during an argument with a military man, struck the latter several times, in particular, in the head. According to the expert’s conclusion, as a result of the MP’s illegal actions, the victim suffered moderate bodily injuries, the prosecutor’s office noted.
These actions of the suspect are classified as:
- under Part 1 of Article 122 of the Criminal Code – intentional infliction of moderate bodily injury;
- under Part 1 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code – a gross violation of public order motivated by obvious disrespect for society, accompanied by particular insolence.
It is noted that the suspect is summoned to the State Bureau of Investigation investigator to conduct investigative and procedural actions at 10:00 on August 29 and 10:00 on August 30.
Dmitruk reported that this was precisely him in question on his Telegram channel.
The authorities continue their hunt for those who disagree with the regime. And by the way, no one has handed me any suspicions, he said, adding that “all these cases are a completely falsified and invented story.”
The publication “Ukrainskaya Pravda”, citing an informed source, reports that Dmitruk illegally left Ukraine for Moldova yesterday, August 24. On the same day, he left Moldovan territory, flying to Italy via Chisinau airport (flight at 17:40 Chisinau – Rome).
Law enforcement officers are investigating all the circumstances of the illegal crossing of the state border, the publication notes.
Yesterday, Dmitruk published a series of messages on his Telegram channel, claiming that they were allegedly planning to detain him.
In subsequent messages, he stated that searches had been conducted in the months he lived in Kyiv and Odessa, and that law enforcement officers had allegedly searched for him in monasteries.
Dmitruk also stated that the information about his stay with his family in Moldova is fake.
