Drones struck the Saratov region of the Russian Federation on the night of August 26.
In particular, the cities of Saratov and Engels were under attack. Air defense systems were operating in the region. As a result of the air defense operation, drone debris fell into residential buildings. This was reported by the Governor of the Saratov Region Roman Busargin and Russian Telegram channels.
According to a spokesman for the dictatorship, emergency services are “working in an enhanced mode.”
Videos are being published online showing UAVs in the sky, flying over houses. There are also shots of a drone hitting a high-rise building in the Engels-City 4 residential complex in Engels, and a drone falling on the Volga Sky residential complex in Saratov.
The authorities of the Saratov region reported one casualty.
As is known, the 121st Guards Sevastopol and 184th Heavy Bomber Aviation Regiments, armed with Tu-160 and Tu-95MS strategic bombers, are stationed at the Engels-2 airbase.
Let us recall that on August 24, GUR fighters successfully struck a field ammunition depot located near the settlement of Ostrogozhsk in the Voronezh Region.
