Israel continues to follow the principles that “whoever hurts us, we hurt him,” the country’s prime minister said.
TsAGAL released footage of airstrikes in southern Lebanon this morning. In the process, more than 100 fighter jets attacked thousands of Hezbollah rocket launchers intended to attack the country. Most of them are focused on northern Israel, and some on central Israel. This was reported by The Times of Israel.
The shelling of Hezbollah targets was also confirmed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the start of an emergency meeting of the National Security Cabinet.
“This morning we saw Hezbollah preparing to attack Israel. After consultation with the Minister of Defense and the Chief of Staff of TsAGAL, we ordered TsAGAL to act promptly to eliminate threats. From then, TsAGAL is working intensively to prevent threats… It has killed thousands of missiles aimed at the north of the country; it also prevents many other threats and operates with great power – both defensively and on the attack,” stressed the head of the Israeli government.
Netanyahu called on the public to follow the instructions of the order. Israel continues to follow the rules “whoever hurts us, we hurt him,” assured the Prime Minister.
Hezbollah said its attack went ahead as planned and that TsAGAL’s preemptive strike did not work. According to them, their drones hit an “important military target” – two military installations in central Israel.
It should be noted that on August 6, Hezbollah launched a two-drone strike in northern Israel, resulting in six casualties.
