The famous statue of Christ the Savior in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday, August 24, will be lit up in the colors of the Ukrainian flag on Independence Day. This was announced by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Brazil, Andrey Melnik, on the social network X.
“I am very happy that one of the seven new wonders of the world, the iconic monument of Christ the Savior, will be illuminated with yellow and blue colors on the Independence Day of Ukraine de Janeiro, for supporting our request,” said the diplomat.
We remind you that the statue of Christ the Savior in the colors of the Ukrainian flag was illuminated on August 24 and earlier.
And at the height of the pandemic in 2020, a medical gown was “dressed” on the statue of Christ the Savior.
