Independence Day will pass without a blackout

Repair teams have restored the reliability of the power supply at the Zaporozhye NPP. The 330 kV high voltage overhead line was put into operation.

There are no plans to limit light on Independence Day in Ukraine. It was reported by Ukrainergo on Friday, August 23.

“On August 24, the use of shutdowns is not predicted. If the situation changes, restrictive measures will also be announced,” the message said.

Also, repair crews restored the reliability of power supply to the Zaporozhye NPP. The 330 kV high voltage overhead line was put into operation.

“Now Zaporizhzhya NPP has the opportunity to receive electricity through the main and reserve lines. The reliability of the nuclear power plant’s power supply is at the right level thanks to the work of the NEC repair teams. Ukrainergo“, assured the company.

Earlier on Friday it became known that electricity consumption has decreased in Ukraine. SA Ukrainergo declared that thanks to this and the launch of the power unit at the nuclear power plant, the export of electricity can be resumed.
