The aggressor country Russia may resort to missile strikes on Ukraine during the August holidays.
There is a threat of missile attacks on August 23 and 24 – the Day of the State Flag and the Independence Day of Ukraine. All units of the National Police are ready to ensure enhanced security measures during the celebration of these holidays. This was stated by the head of the Department of Preventive Activities of the National Police of Ukraine Maksym Akhrameyev, the press service of the department reports.
According to him, these days there is a high probability of the aggressor country launching numerous missile attacks on the territory of Ukraine, therefore it is necessary to pay special attention to a clear algorithm of actions during an air raid alarm and a racketeering threat.
Tightened security measures will be provided by police squads, investigative teams, bomb squads, dog handlers and other services.
Law enforcement officials called on citizens to take care of their own safety, respond to alarm signals, take shelter when signals are given, not touch suspicious objects, and report violations of public order to police.
Let us recall that on August 22, the US Embassy in Ukraine warned that the risk of Russian shelling on Independence Day had increased.
