The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to increase the losses of the Russian army in the Kursk region.
In particular, combat aviation is effective. Thus, American GBU-39 bombs completely destroyed a platoon stronghold in the Kursk region. The crushing blow was delivered today at 16:00. The commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Nikolai Oleshchuk reported this on Telegram on August 22.
As a result of the hit, the UAV control center, electronic warfare unit, equipment, weapons and up to 40 servicemen of the aggressor country were damaged.
As is known, the GBU-39 is an American light guided precision-guided air bomb weighing 130 kg, with a diameter of about 190 mm and a length of about 1.8 m. The maximum flight range is up to 110 km when dropped from a high altitude. Onboard navigation systems allow the bomb to have a probable circular deviation of only one meter.
Let us recall that today the Air Force showed how tactical aviation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed the enemy’s logistical communications in the Kursk region. In particular, it was shown how guided air bombs destroyed two bridge crossings. The attack took place in the 20th of August.
