Kherson was partially left without electricity due to a Russian strike on a critical infrastructure facility.
The press service of the Kherson Department of Internal Affairs reported this today, August 22, in the morning.
Power engineers are carrying out emergency repair work to ensure the earliest possible restoration of power supply, the OVA noted.
The Kherson MVA reports that due to the power outage:
- the water supply pressure has decreased;
- Trolleybus routes No. 8, 9, 11, 12 have been shortened to Nesovershimosti Square.
During the period from 6:00 on August 21 to 6:00 on August 22, the Kherson city territorial community was shelled by the occupiers 16 times. Damage was recorded in Kherson, Kamyshany, Priozerne, Antonovka. In particular, the following were damaged:
- two multi-storey buildings;
- private houses;
- church;
- four outbuildings;
- tractor;
- automobile;
- section of water supply;
- Power transmission line.
As a result of Russian enemy shelling of the Kherson city territorial community over the past 24 hours, 12 people were injured: one woman, unfortunately, died, 11 were injured to varying degrees of severity. All were provided with medical assistance, – said the head of the Kherson MVA Roman Mrochko in his Telegram channel.
