Ukraine has banned the use of advertising in drug labeling. This happened after the Verkhovna Rada on August 21 adopted bill No. 11172, which proposes amendments to the law on medicines that prohibit placing advertising information on drug packaging.
One of the initiators of the bill, People’s Deputy from the Servant of the People faction, Chairman of the relevant committee of the Council Mykhailo Radutsky, reported on the innovation on his social networks.
The bill provides for a ban on the placement on the packaging of medicinal products of any advertising that promotes the medicinal product on the market, in particular the formation of an opinion about the exclusivity or preference of the medicinal product.
This misleads consumers and violates the rules of fair competition in force in accordance with the EU directive, – commented on the importance of the bill Mikhail Radutsky.
