In the Zaporizhia direction, no assault actions have been recorded over the past three days.
This was reported on August 20 by the operational command of the Tavria troops.
On air at the “Edinye Novosti” telethon on Tuesday, August 20, the representative of the OUV, Dmitry Likhovoy, said that this is a reason to pay attention, because the area is large and it is obvious that “the Russians have not gone anywhere from here.”
There have been no assault actions there for three days and there is no significant activity today either, the speaker said.
By 16:00, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled one assault near Novodanilovka in the Orekhov direction.
The Ukrainian military will monitor the situation, because such behavior by the Russians is “not typical for the last long period,” Likhovoy believes.
He noted that in Zaporozhye, both the enemy and our troops are actively using artillery, aviation, and attack drones.
We maintain a certain activity, if we can call it that, in the Dnieper direction, where the enemy does not abandon attempts to dislodge our units from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnieper. However, yesterday there was only one enemy assault on the positions of our units in the area of the village of Krynki, – said Dmitry Likhovoy.
According to him, the enemy assaults were unsuccessful, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces did not lose their positions.
The speaker also said that he would not link these events with the Kursk operation, and he noted a month ago that the Russians do not have the resources to conduct effective offensive operations in several directions simultaneously.
