The fire at the Kavkaz oil depot in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation has been going on for three days now.
They have been trying to extinguish the fire caused by the drone attack for three days now. Today, the area of the fire in Proletarsk is 10 thousand square meters. Fuel is burning at the site, and the sky in the area of the fire is covered with thick black smoke. This is reported by local media.
The Russians have already deployed more than 500 Emergencies Ministry employees to fight the fire. In addition, four aircraft are being prepared to extinguish it.
Recall that fuel tanks at the Kavkaz plant caught fire on the night of August 18 after an attack by Ukrainian UAVs. The Russians initially sent three fire trains, 80 special vehicles and more than 250 rescuers to fight the fire. As a result of working at the burning facility, 41 rescuers were injured, five of them ended up in intensive care.
Yesterday, August 19, the fire was no longer extinguished due to strong wind and heat. Barrels of kerosene began to explode one after another, threatening new victims among emergency workers.
