The Verkhovna Rada considered the status of military personnel fighting in Russia.
On Tuesday, August 20, the parliament voted in general for draft law No. 11483 on the status of military personnel fighting on Russian territory, including in the Kursk region. The law guarantees them the same payments and preferences as on the front lines. 321 people’s deputies pressed the “yes” button. MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported this on Telegram.
Also today, bill No. 9585 on the legal status of foreigners and stateless persons participating in the protection of the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine was adopted.
As People’s Deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko reported on Telegram, the law provides for permission for foreigners and stateless persons defending Ukraine to obtain temporary residence permits or immigrate, even if their documents have expired. Their family members will also have the same right.
Let us recall that today the Verkhovna Rada voted in the first reading for a bill on depriving people of state awards for popularizing or promoting Russia.
