The man wore a military uniform and recorded a video in which he called on men from the Kursk region to take up arms and not run away from the shooting. However, as it turned out, he was a businessman who profited from the deaths of military personnel.
The author of the video, in which a Russian military man allegedly criticizes the male residents of Kursk as they flee from shelling, turns out to be the owner of a funeral company. Agency.Novosti reported this on Monday, August 19.
A video of a man in military uniform violently criticizing the refugees and calling on them to take up arms and defend their city surfaced on Russian social media on Sunday and caused an uproar.
The journalists established the identity of the “military man.” It turned out to be Kirill Suvorov, the director of a granite workshop from St. Petersburg, making monuments for gravestones and helping to bury fallen military personnel.
Suvorov’s workshop website states that in addition to making monuments and tombstones, the company also offers cremation, burial and delivery services for “cargo 200”. The workshop promises to help relatives of fallen Russian military personnel in preparing papers, including the deceased and purchasing tickets for any type of transportation.
Journalists reached Suvorov. He repeated that he considers the situation when male residents of the Kursk region leave the combat zone wrong. He himself admitted that now he goes to SVO only with help. When asked if he himself would go to war, Suvorov refused to answer.

Let’s recall that on Monday, President Vladimir Zelensky said that Ukrainian troops already control more than 1,250 square kilometers of territory and 92 settlements in the Kursk region.
