The officer cannot perform his duties during the investigation of the tender for the competitive proposal.
The general director of the National Children’s Specialized Hospital Okhmatdyt, Vladimir Zhovnir, has been suspended from his duties until the completion of inspections by the National Police of Ukraine, as well as other law enforcement agencies and the commission of the Ministry of Health. Health Minister Viktor Lyashko announced this on his Facebook page.
“Facts related to the restoration of Okhmatdyt buildings and the actions of the Charitable Organization Okhmatdyt Charitable Foundation – Healthy Childhood (hereinafter referred to as the Foundation), including those indicated in the media, are currently being studied by the National Police of Ukraine following my appeal. A corresponding criminal trial is ongoing.
All circumstances must be established. All those responsible must be punished. The hospital had to be rebuilt. Everything must happen clearly, transparently, quickly and in accordance with the law,” the official said in a statement.
He said that yesterday he received the first results of an inspection commission of the Ministry of Health.
“Unfortunately, there are cases of distortion of basic information officially submitted to me, to the media and contained in documents both from the hospital management and from the Foundation,” said Lyashko.
According to him, two working bodies are involved in the assessment of competitive proposals submitted during the tender: the Okhmatdyt working group, approved by order of the General Director of Okhmatdyt No. 142 dated July 18, 2024, and the general meeting of the Fund.
“The decision to declare the company the winner of the tender was made by the General Director of Okhmatdyt Vladimir Zhovnir, which was announced to the public on the official page of the hospital. At the same time, according to information that became known during the Inspection of the Ministry of Health, the relevant recommendations on the final selection of the winner were received from the Working Group of Okhmatdyt.
We remind you that on July 8, the Russians launched a massive attack on Ukraine. One of the targets was the Okhmatdyt hospital in Kyiv. Two people died in the establishment and 30 were injured, including 10 children.
The SBU established that the Russians attacked the hospital with an X-101 missile. A video of this attack has been released.
