Oleksandr Syrsky, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, held a telephone conversation with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States, General Charles Brown.
He discussed with his ally, in particular, the critical needs of the Ukrainian defense forces for weapons and equipment. He also informed about the operational and strategic situation at the front. Oleksandr Syrsky reported this on Telegram.
According to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, one of the topics of conversation concerned the provision by the military-political leadership of the United States of assistance in the comprehensive strengthening of the defensive capabilities of the Ukrainian army.
At the end of the conversation, I thanked General Brown for his continued support of Ukraine in the fight against the Russian aggressor, Syrsky noted.
Let us recall that the last time the US Department of Defense announced a military aid package to Ukraine was on August 9, which was the 63rd. Then the Pentagon transferred military aid worth $125 million. The Ukrainian Armed Forces received, in particular, Stinger missiles, ammunition for HIMARS, 155-mm and 105-mm artillery ammunition, TOW anti-tank guided missiles, and Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank systems.
