The Cabinet of Ministers has launched a mechanism for providing special subsidies for farmers working in frontline regions.
This was announced today. On July 16, during a government meeting, Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal reported.
Today we are adopting a resolution on the actual launch of another program to support farmers – a mechanism for providing special subsidies for farmers working in frontline regions,” he noted.
The innovation envisages the introduction of a subsidy for cultivated, sown, planted lands for the current year’s harvest for the territories:
- possible military actions – 1000 UAH per 1 ha;
- active military operations – 2000 UAH per 1 ha.
We understand how difficult it is to sow and harvest on these lands and in these communities, so we will support our people who work there, Shmigal emphasized.
Shmigal also reported that this week the acceptance of applications for the program to assist those developing irrigation systems began.
If a farmer invests his own funds, the state will support him by covering up to 50% of the costs of reconstruction or construction of new irrigation systems, the prime minister noted.
