On the night of today, August 16, Russian invaders once again attempted to launch an air strike on Kyiv.
According to preliminary data, attack drones were launched from the Kursk region, which reached the capital in two hours. The air raid alarm in the city lasted 44 minutes. This was reported on his Telegram channel by the head of the KMVA Sergey Popko.
Air defense forces and means were operating in Kyiv. According to operational information, there are no damages or casualties in the capital at this moment, he noted.
The KMVAs note that air raid sirens have become more frequent in the capital recently:
- the day before there were four of them a day;
- and in total, more than 1.2 thousand of them have been heard in Kyiv since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
Don’t “get used” to alarms when enemy drones and missiles don’t gather right above the city and relax many! Always treat sirens as a serious warning of danger to life! Take care of yourself! – Popko emphasized.
