Photos have emerged of the aftermath of Ukrainian drone strikes on the active military airfield “Borisoglebsk” in the Voronezh region of Russia.
Satellite images from Planet Labs on August 14 show that drones hit the northwestern part of the airport. In particular, several hangars were destroyed, Skhemy reported.
Aviation expert Anatoly Khrapchinsky stated that the technical and operational unit, which is engaged in the repair and maintenance of aircraft, is located there.
As is known, Russian Su-25, Su-30, Su-34 and Su-35 aircraft are based at the Borisoglebsk airfield in the Voronezh region.
Let us recall that Ukraine attacked the Russian military airfields of Voronezh, Kursk, Savasleyka and Borisoglebsk on the night of August 14. Long-range drones of the SBU and the Defense Forces carried out the largest attack on Russian military airfields in the entire war. This was a planned operation to prevent Russian troops from using these airfields for KAB strikes.
