On the night of August 14, Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 17 of 23 Russian Shahed-type attack drones. This was announced by the Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Nikolai Oleshchuk.
According to him, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with two X-59/69 guided aircraft missiles from the airspace of the Belgorod region and 23 Shahed-type attack UAVs from the Chauda regions (temporarily occupied Crimea), as well as Yeisk and Kursk.
Mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, aviation, anti-aircraft missile units and electronic warfare equipment of the Ukrainian Air Force shot down 17 enemy drones in the regions of Nikolaev, Cherkassy,Kirovograd, Kyiv, Zaporozhye, Sumy, Kharkov and Zhytomyr.
