Early parliamentary elections in Israel will be held on November 1. On September 15, all parties must submit their lists.
The Israeli parliament (Knesset) on Thursday, June 30, voted for self-dissolution. The next parliamentary election will be held on 1 November. This was reported by The Jerusalem Post.
The election will be held on November 1, 2022, this is the fifth in the last three years. Until then, Foreign Minister Yair Lapid will hold the position of Acting Prime Minister.
Voting would have taken place yesterday, but the coalition and the opposition could not agree on the date of the election. Opposition parliamentarians have requested that the election be held on October 25, but November 1 is the deadline. Party lists must be submitted by September 15th.
On Wednesday, June 29, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennet announced that he would be leaving politics and would no longer run in new parliamentary elections.
