A total of 436 kilograms of heroin was found, wrapped in 434 bags. The estimated street value of the drugs is around 70 million leva (35 million euros).
It was noted that the heroin was hidden in a cargo trailer with Kazakh registration, which at the end of July arrived by sea along the route from Kyrgyzstan through Batumi to Burgas, and then was supposed to continue to Alexandroupolis, Greece. The trailer, which was supposed to transport cable-laying machines, aroused suspicion because of its unusually long stay at the port.
We remind you that in the Netherlands, customs officials discovered 250 kilograms of cocaine in the port of Rotterdam, the drugs were hidden in grapes.
It was previously reported that more than eight tons of cocaine were seized in Bolivia. The drugs were hidden in wood flooring materials found in the truck.
