Fortifications on the approaches to the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant have been hastily erected in Russia.
The enemy trenches are located south of Kurchatov, about 15 km from the nuclear power plant, according to satellite images from Planet Labs.
One scientist, in an interview with a Russian propaganda resource, stated that if Russia loses control over the Kursk “atomic plant”, a large-scale blackout is possible. The scenario that occurred in the south of Russia, when an emergency shutdown of one of the reactors at the Rostov Nuclear Power Plant left millions of Russians without power, will be repeated.
Let us recall that on August 6, a border breach occurred in the Kursk region – hundreds, or thousands, of Ukrainian troops and armored vehicles entered the region.
As of August 9, Ukrainian units could have taken control of almost 600 square kilometers of Russian territory and more than 20 populated areas. Ukraine does not officially disclose any details about its actions.
