The city of Bakhmut in Donetsk region was completely destroyed by Russian invaders.
As a result of the invasion of the army of the aggressor country, civilian objects were damaged and destroyed, including schools, railway stations and residential buildings. During the attacks, the Russians conducted indiscriminate shelling of the city. This is stated in a new summary of the British Ministry of Defense, which was published on the social network X.
During the Russian offensive to capture Bakhmut, intense fighting and indiscriminate shelling of buildings caused significant destruction across the city. Schools, train stations and residential buildings, as well as other civilian infrastructure, were damaged and in some cases destroyed, the statement said.
The British have published a satellite photo. The footage shows a destroyed school, stadium and railway station in Bakhmut.
As is known, since August 2022, Bakhmut has been the epicenter of fighting in Donbas. In the spring of 2023, the Russians took control of the city. The settlement was 80% destroyed as a result of heavy fighting.
Let us recall that the soldiers from the 18th Brigade of the National Guard showed what Vremen Yar in Donetsk Oblast looks like during the ongoing heavy fighting. The guardsmen emphasized that every building in the destroyed city, which the military affectionately calls “Chasik”, is evidence of the inhuman nature of the enemy.
