As a result of shelling in the city of Kremenchug, Poltava region on Saturday, April 2, a local oil refinery was destroyed. This was stated by the head of the region Dmitry Lunin.
“The occupiers massively shot down the Kremenchug Oil Refinery and the surrounding warehouses of fuel and lubricants. Unfortunately, the business infrastructure was destroyed. The plant was not working. Our rescuers continue to be heroes killing the fire, “said the governor.
According to Lunin, there is no ecological catastrophe, the situation is under control. At the same time, several people who received burns became victims of enemy attacks. The lives of the victims are not in danger.
Finally, the head of the region appealed to the local population with a request not to line up for fuel and not to create an artificial shortage. “There is a war in Ukraine, the situation is very complicated, but completely controllable,” he stressed.
Recall that the day before the Russian occupiers launched rocket attacks on Poltava and Kremenchug. Residential buildings and infrastructure facilities fell under enemy shelling.
Later, the enemy also attacked Mirgorod. As a result of the shelling, the runway and the airport infrastructure were damaged, and a fuel and lubricant warehouse was burned.
