The Cabinet of Ministers has ordered the installation of solar power plants in Ukraine

    The Cabinet of Ministers has instructed to ensure the installation of generating units designed to produce electricity from solar radiation by December 31, 2025.

    .

    The corresponding changes were made to the government order of June 7, 2024 No. 510 “Some measures to stabilize the operation of the unified energy system of Ukraine”.

    The government representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, reported this today, August 9, on his Telegram channel.

    The ministries and other central executive bodies, regional and city state administrations (military administrations) have been instructed to ensure that during the period
    by 12/31/2025 installation of generating units designed to produce electrical energy from solar radiation energy, and electrical energy storage units to cover consumption in public and administrative buildings, healthcare and educational institutions, social security institutions, etc., Melnichuk said.

    It is noted that funding for these measures should be provided through:

    • international technical and humanitarian assistance;
    • non-governmental funds to support the development of renewable energy sources and energy efficiency measures;
    • other sources of funding not prohibited by law.
