Ukrainian defenders shot down all the attack UAVs that Russia launched at Ukraine during the night
On the night of August 9, the occupiers attacked with 27 Shahed-type attack UAVs, which were launched from the area of the Russian Primorsko-Akhtarsk. The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ radio-technical troops detected and accompanied these attack drones. The Air Force reported this on Telegram.
During the air battle, the defenders of the sky shot down all the Russian “Shakheds”. Mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, anti-aircraft missile units and electronic warfare systems of the Air Force were involved.
Drones were shot down in the Kyiv, Poltava, Sumy, Nikolaev, Kherson, Donetsk and Dnepropetrovsk regions.
Let us recall that on August 8, Russian invaders dropped a record number of guided aerial bombs on Sumy Oblast – 56. The OVA stated that the region had never experienced such a number of KAB strikes in a day. The enemy struck Shostka, Konotop, Sumy and Akhtyrsky districts.
