NAEC Energoatom should carry out repairs of two more power units of nuclear power plants in preparation for the heating season this year, the acting head said. Chairman of the Board of the Company Petr Kotin at a press conference on August 6. Interfax-Ukraine reported this on Wednesday, August 7.
“We still have two additional power units to be repaired this year, which will be in the power system until November, and we will be operating in RAM with all nine units, as announced earlier,” Kotin said.
It was noted that the company managed to reduce the repair period by more than 40 days in order to quickly restore the units to the network.

The total capacity of the nine power units is 7.8 GW.

In the past, energy experts predicted that July would be the most difficult period for the Ukrainian energy system. Currently, nuclear power plants are undergoing scheduled maintenance.
