The Russian army continues to launch missiles and air strikes against Ukrainian cities in the east, but their intensity has decreased. This is stated in the summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the results of the 38th day of the war, published on the evening of Sunday, April 3.
As indicated, the preparation of additional enemy units for participation in battles on the territory of Ukraine is ongoing, it is planned to create alleged “volunteer” battalions from residents of temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and mercenaries.
At the same time, the General Staff noticed the departure of enemy troops in the northern part of Ukraine.
“In the direction of Polesie, the occupiers continued to withdraw units on the territory of the Republic of Belarus. When withdrawing troops, the enemy was mining advance routes and individual communities. In the region of Seversk, the enemy has completed the removal of units from the territories of our state to the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, “specified the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
At the same time, in the Kharkiv, Donetsk and Luhansk regions, Russian troops continue to cast cities and towns with different types of artillery systems, but the number of these attacks is also reduced.
“The occupiers continued to focus their main efforts on capturing the Rubizhne and Popasnaya communities, preparing for an attack on Severodonetsk, gaining full control over Mariupol, and also reaching Ugledar and Maryinka. They have not achieved success, ”the General Staff emphasized.
As reported, the Russian occupiers intend to surround the grouping of the Joint Forces and reach the administrative borders of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions.
