Markarova spoke about the vice-president from Harris

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who will become US Vice President if Kamala Harris wins the election, is a “reliable friend” of Ukraine. This was stated by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Oksana Markarova in a commentary to European Pravda.

According to him, among American governors who actively support Ukraine, “Governor Walz is certainly one of the leaders of such support and a reliable friend of our country.”

Markarova said that Minnesota is one of the states where the governor’s active support is helping Ukraine conduct an advocacy campaign.

“When I was in Minnesota in December as part of our Whistlestop Tour for Ukraine with the Marshall Fund and Howard Buffett, the governor and I met with the Farm Bureau and actually worked with them to convince those there how important Ukrainian success is for the national interest of the United States.” , said the ambassador.

It is also known that Tim Walz became one of the first governors who, in 2022, ordered the termination of all contracts of state-owned companies with the aggressor state – Russia.

Remember that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz will be the vice president of the United States if the Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris wins the election. Walz is a former educator currently serving his second term as governor of Minnesota and chairs the Democratic Governors Association. He previously served 12 years in Congress and represented a conservative, rural district. Walz is also a former member of the US National Guard.

In February 2024, Minnesota, under the leadership of Volz, established a special relationship with the Chernihiv region of Ukraine.
