Tim Walz, who was chosen by Kamala Harris as his vice presidential candidate, is a reliable friend of Ukraine and one of the leaders of support for our country among American governors.
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who will become US Vice President if Kamala Harris wins the election, is a “reliable friend” of Ukraine. This was stated by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Oksana Markarova in a commentary to European Pravda.
According to him, among American governors who actively support Ukraine, “Governor Walz is certainly one of the leaders of such support and a reliable friend of our country.”
Markarova said that Minnesota is one of the states where the governor’s active support is helping Ukraine conduct an advocacy campaign.
“When I was in Minnesota in December as part of our Whistlestop Tour for Ukraine with the Marshall Fund and Howard Buffett, the governor and I met with the Farm Bureau and actually worked with them to convince those there how important Ukrainian success is for the national interest of the United States.” , said the ambassador.
It is also known that Tim Walz became one of the first governors who, in 2022, ordered the termination of all contracts of state-owned companies with the aggressor state – Russia.
Remember that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz will be the vice president of the United States if the Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris wins the election. Walz is a former educator who is currently serving his second term as governor of Minnesota and chairs the Democratic Governors Association. He previously served 12 years in Congress and represented a conservative, rural district. Walz is also a former member of the US National Guard.
In February 2024, Minnesota, under the leadership of Volz, established a special relationship with the Chernihiv region of Ukraine.
