The airbase suffered serious damage, and the reconnaissance work and the accuracy of the Ukrainian drones were at the highest level, said Yuriy Butusov.
Ukrainian journalist Yuriy Butusov showed on Tuesday, September 6, on his Telegram channel a photo of the consequences of a long-range Ukrainian drone strike on an aviation weapons warehouse at the Morozovsk airbase in the Rostov region.
“Judging by the photo of the unexploded ordnance, a large number of adjustable aerial bombs, caliber 500 and 1,500 kg, were destroyed,” he said.
Butusov also drew the fact that among the destroyed weapons the remains of an electronic countermeasures system for the Khibiny aircraft were visible. According to him, this is an expensive weapon system with which the Russian aviation is still not fully equipped.
The photos show that the airbase suffered serious damage, and the reconnaissance work and the accuracy of the Ukrainian drones deserve high praise, the journalist concluded.
As you know, on August 3, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a series of attacks on Russian territory. Among the affected facilities is the Morozovsk military airfield in the Rostov region.
Subsequently, a video appeared on social networks of a loud explosion at the Morozovsk airfield, which is the base of the 559th Guards Bomber Aviation Regiment.
