Information is actively spreading on the Internet that the Russians allegedly defeated the 120th Territorial Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in one of the directions, which suffered colossal losses.
This is disinformation, stated the press service of the 120th Brigade of the Territorial Defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (a brigade that is being formed primarily in the Vinnytsia region).
They said that such messages are spread by relatives of the brigade fighters who do not have information about the situation in the relevant section of the front. After that, Russian propaganda turns the corresponding messages into its own narratives.
One of the brigade’s battalions, carrying out a combat mission in the Donetsk direction, entered into a difficult and complex clash with hostile forces. Our fighters did not abandon their positions and continued to worthily carry out tasks to defend Ukraine. The brigade command immediately responded to the battalion’s request and has already sent additional reinforcements: both technical and human, the press service said.
They added that the defenders continue their work with dignity and protect Ukraine.
It is still unknown what direction in Donetsk Oblast is being discussed and what exactly happened there. However, in the comments to this message, Ukrainians continue to accuse the brigade leadership of lying. They say that relatives are trying to call the hotline to find out more about the situation, but it is not working.
