Lithuania responded to the request of Russian oppositionists to lift sanctions against the Russian Federation.
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis said that the Russian opposition first talks about the innocence of ordinary Russians, but then “ordinary Russians kill ordinary Ukrainians.” The diplomat wrote about this on the social network X.
I see ordinary Russian mothers saying goodbye to their ordinary Russian sons and wishing them luck in their ordinary Russian war crimes. I see ordinary Russians celebrating a murder. I see ordinary Russian parents dressing their ordinary Russian children in military uniforms and drawing the letter Z on a cardboard cutout of a tank. I see ordinary Russians gathering to form a giant Z in a town square, the report says.
The minister stressed that today’s Russia is “sick” and that its healing will be a long and exhausting process. At the same time, “healing” can only begin when the aggressor country, and not just Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, suffers a defeat.
Landsbergis noted that Western sanctions are helping to slow down the Russian military machine.
Let us recall that the day before, Russian opposition politician Vladimir Kara-Murza, who was fired from prison, proposed that the West ease sanctions against the Russian Federation so that “ordinary Russians do not suffer from them.”
