Earlier, Ukrainian head of state Vladimir Zelensky officially confirmed the arrival of Western fighters in Ukraine.
Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda commented on the appearance of F-16 fighters in the Ukrainian Air Force, stressing that this is a step towards victory against the Russians. He announced this on platform X on Sunday, August 4.
“Today, F-16 fighter jets began to fly in the airspace of Ukraine. The efforts of President Vladimir Zelensky and the support of allies made it possible,” Nauseda said.
He emphasized that the emergence of Western fighters is a significant step towards success. And he called for making sure Ukraine gets everything it needs to win.
