Increasing supply now is key because it will help protect Ukraine’s critical infrastructure during the winter.
Germany will continue to work to strengthen Ukrainian air defenses. This is what German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said in an interview with DW published on Sunday, August 4.
“As supporters of Ukraine, we need to increase supplies because air defense is critical. So Germany has already provided three Patriot systems and several IRIS-T systems,” Pistorius said.
According to him, increasing supplies now is key, as it will help protect Ukraine’s critical infrastructure in the winter.
At the same time, Pistorius did not confirm the information that the German side is helping to arm F-16 fighter jets coming from France, noting that this information “requires verification.”
Let’s remember that Boris Pistorius previously called on the government to allocate an additional four billion euros for military aid to Ukraine, since the funds provided for this year have been almost completely spent.
It was also reported that Germany, along with other allies, will transfer a hundred missiles for Patriot systems to Ukraine. At the same time, 30 missiles have been transferred.
